Hello!  My name is Sarah Page and I am excited to start this school year with you!  I will be heading into my 15th year of teaching, and my 6th year of teaching at CCE.  I obtained my B.S. in Elementary Education from New Mexico State University and prior to moving to Colorado, I taught 2nd and 3rd grade in New Mexico.  I enjoy teaching the primary grades, and first grade is one of my favorites!  First graders are so fun to work with and I enjoy seeing how much they learn and grow throughout the year.

When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family which includes my husband, two children, two dogs, and a cat. We have had fun exploring Colorado since we moved here 6 years ago.  My children are both involved in Scouting, so we spend a lot of time outdoors camping, hiking, and enjoying nature.  Some of my other favorite activities are reading, crafting, and cooking.

I know we are going to have a great year full of learning and fun! I am looking forward to meeting all of you!

Hi, my name is Miss. Newman and I will be your first grade teacher.  I am excited that we get to spend this year learning together! This will be my third year teaching in Douglas County.  I will be starting my third official year at Coyote Creek. Prior to this, I student taught in first grade at Coyote Creek in the Spring of 2017. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to continue my career in First grade and to experience the learning with you!

I hold a B.A. in Early Childhood Education from the University of Northern Colorado. I am proud Colorado native and have grown up in Highlands Ranch. My time away from school is spent with friends and family. I love to ski, watch hockey, and spend time outside with my three dogs, Brooklyn, Kirby and Stella. If I am not outdoors I spend a lot of my time at the gym, I consider it my sport.

I feel so fortunate to have a job that I love so much.  I believe that First Grade is such an important grade level.  Children are involved in many new experiences, both academically and socially.  I feel that my greatest responsibility is to instill a love of learning.
