Hello and welcome to 3rd grade! I am Mrs. Lawrence and this is my fifth year being a part of this amazing school. I have worked in various positions at Coyote Creek and by far third grade has been my favourite! Before I meet all of you, here is a little bit about me!
I attained my Masters Degree in Early Education with an emphasis on Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment. I have been teaching for 7 years and have taught in Pre-K, Kindergarten, 2nd grade and 3rd grade!
I grew up in Canada with my parents and two older sisters. In 1996 my father's job brought us to Colorado and I have been living here since. I currently live in Littleton with my husband! We love to travel and visit my family back on the east coast of Canada. My husband is from the Caribbean island, St. Lucia, so we enjoy taking trips to the sunny Island to see his family as well! In my free time I love cooking, gardening, camping, spending time outdoors, and enjoy entertaining my family and friends.
Third grade is a year full of growth and new discoveries and there is so much I am looking forward to this year. I can't wait to get to know all of you!
Hello! I am so excited to be teaching third grade at Coyote Creek Elementary School! I wanted to share a little bit about myself before starting this journey together.
I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, and an emphasis in teaching English as a second language. From there, I continued my education in Early Childhood Education through Arapahoe Community College and Metropolitan State University of Denver. This will be my twelfth year of teaching, and my second here in Highlands Ranch!
I have been married to my wonderful husband Jared for five years, and our son Carter is a year and a half old. We also have five adorable “fur” babies at home! In my spare time I own a photography business, and I like to dabble in scrapbooking, traveling, hiking, and of course spending time with my amazing family. I am a Colorado native; and I have always loved learning and discovering more about our wonderful state!
This year is going to be filled with exciting opportunities to become passionate and engaged learners, while also growing as individuals socially and emotionally. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you throughout the year; and please feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns, or comments.
