Beginning my 23rd year in education, I still get excited about the first day of school!  I love new challenges and being a life-long learner; which is why I'm thrilled with the daily adventures being a principal will provide me.  Coyote Creek is an amazing place for students to learn and adults to work.  I look forward to working with each of you in whatever capacity brings us together.

Most of my teaching career was spent teaching elementary school.  Coyote Creek was one of my first "teaching" homes when I spent 7 years here in the early 2000s.  I spent two years in Jefferson County prior to coming to CCE, and after I left I spent five years at a neighboring elementary school teaching, and two more as an assistant principal/interim principal at a different DCSD elementary school.  The last six years I spent gaining experience with a different age group and worked at a middle school.  I realized that my heart is really at the elementary level and couldn't wait to get back to an amazing community like CCE.

I grew up in Colorado. Attended Bear Creek high school before heading out west to go to college in California.  I was honored to play volleyball all four years for Dominican University of California.  After college, I returned home to earn my teaching license and master's degree at Denver University.  Being a native of Colorado, I enjoy the outdoors including skiing, playing volleyball, and watching my kids play sports.

My husband is also an educator; he's a math teacher and coach at Rock Canyon HS.  Together we have four kids- 1 in college studying OT, one in high school, one that is studying to be a math teacher like her dad, and one with a "real" job. They keep us busy but bring lots of joy to our household.

Please stop by anytime to say hi-

I am so excited to be starting my 18th year in education! I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Communication, a Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction, and a professional certification in School Administration. My Colorado Department of Education license endorsements include: Principal, Elementary Education, Gifted & Talented Specialist, and Secondary English/Language Arts.

I grew up in San Diego and Colorado Springs. I attended Cheyenne Mountain High School in Colorado Springs before going to CU Boulder for my undergraduate degree. I worked as a copywriter for a company that printed address labels back in the days when many people did not have a home computer and printer (my how times have changed!). In 2005, I earned my master's degree in Education and fulfilled my dream of becoming a teacher. My teaching experience includes 14 years in elementary including 10 years experience working with students identified in Gifted and Talented and twice exceptional. Additionally, I have two years experience as a Professional Development Coordinator with Douglas County School District, and this will be my sixth year as the Assistant Principal of Coyote Creek Elementary.

I live in Parker, and in my free time I love crafting, traveling, baking, reading, walking, spending time with my husband and dog (a whippet named Isla), watching Marvel movies, and anything relating to Harry Potter and Disney!

I have been at Coyote Creek since 2001.

I started with my son was in kindergarten!  Since I have been at Coyote Creek, I have been a lunchroom/playground aide, a classroom aide and now I am in the front office as the Registrar and Health Assistant.

I have lived in the Coyote Creek neighborhood for 24 years. I have one son. My husband and I like to fish, ride e-bikes and spend time together.
