Hi! My name is Sophorn Ven and I am so

Hi! My name is Sophorn Ven and I am so excited to get to know you and to be your teacher this year!  I graduated from California State University  Dominguez Hills with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies and a Minor in English Literature.  Go Toros!

I’ve known since I was five years old that I wanted to be a teacher and I truly believe that teaching is my passion!  I have taught for over fifteen years but this will be my fourth year teaching at CCE.  I previously taught middle school English and Reading in California.

I grew up in Long Beach, California.  My husband and I have been married for thirteen years and we have an eight-year-old daughter, who will be starting third grade this year.  We love hiking and finding new adventures to share as a family.  I look forward to making new memories and sharing many adventures with you!

Hello! My name is Megan Gonzales, and I am extremely excited to be your 5th grade teacher this year. I just graduated from Colorado State University (Go Rams!) with a bachelors degree in
Early Childhood Education. I also have an Elementary Education and Family and Consumer Sciences endorsement.

I was born and raised in Highlands Ranch with a few of my years spent in Temecula, California. I graduated from Columbine High School where I learned how important it is for a community to
be a family. Being part of the Columbine community drove my passion to become an educator. My goal as an educator is to create a loving and supportive community inside and outside of the
classroom.

My fiancé and I are both Colorado natives and we love to go off-roading, paddle boarding, and
hike. Our family consists of two crazy dogs, two cats, and a turtle.

I am looking forward to filling my first year of teaching with lots of fun memories and learning
with all of you!
