Welcome to Coyote Creek Elementary! I am so very excited to be teaching kindergarten! Thank you for sharing your kiddos with me. I am truly honored!

This is my second year teaching kindergarten at CCE. I have nine years experience in education. Prior to coming to Coyote Creek, I substituted in elementary classrooms in Douglas and Littleton school districts. Before subbing, I completed my student teaching in first grade at Peabody Elementary in Littleton and earned a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies in Elementary Education at Western Governors University. Before student teaching, I was an education assistant in kindergarten for four years, special education supporting students IEP’s (Individual Education Plans) for a year, and SSN (Significant Support Needs) for another year.

I feel so fortunate to work at such a wonderful school. The staff is so supportive and the community is amazing! It feels like an extended family. I’m looking forward to our adventures in learning.

My name is Felicia Phelan, I am excited to be at Coyote Creek for my fourth year. This will be my fourteenth year teaching in Douglas County. I have always had a passion for teaching and been lucky enough to share my time with kindergartners, first graders and fifth graders. I hold a B.A. in Psychology and a M.A. in Elementary Education. I am proud to be a native to Colorado. I spent my years growing up in Fort Collins and Littleton.

My time away from school is spent with my husband and our two children. As a family we try and spend as much time outdoors enjoying what Colorado has to offer. Our favorite activities include skiing, mountain biking, hiking, camping, swimming, crafting and reading. I am looking forward to a memorable year in kindergarten at CCE!
